Scotland, days 23 & 24

Day 23

Still having flu..

I slept almost the whole day. But on the evening I felt little better and I decided to go watch a hockey game with the Young Farmers.

...I shouldn't have went there...
The weather turned suddenly quite horrible when we were watching the game. It was raining and wind was quite cold, and I was still having flu. Lucky me..

And by "hockey" I didn't meant normal "ice-hockey"
After returning home I took a long warm bath. It felt so good, but I just wished that there would be saunas in Scotland.

Day 24

Feeling finally little better. But still looking like a zombie.

We visited in auction in Kirling (they were selling cows, bulls etc.) I haven't been in auction before, so it was quite interesting.

They sold this huge bull in auction!

On afternoon we went to eat really good ice-cream to Helensburgh. Aah, that delicious mint-chocolate ice-cream... <3

We saw this castle wall on the way to Helensburgh.

At evening we went to on farm, which was holding a pretty interesting contest: in the contest you have to guess/know the value of the machines (the machines can be old or new).
It was too hard for me because I had to think everything first in euros, and the change it into pounds.

And I have no idea what a tractor can cost...

Scotland, days 21 & 22

Day 21

It was time to move to next host family, which was this time on Loch Lomond!

After three hours bus drive we finally came to Loch Lomond. The Loch Lomond (lake) is so pretty, and huge! : o

Cool room, huh?
The night view from my window to Loch Lomond!
The view from my host family's house to Loch Lomond was great! The house is on hill, so you can see quite far away : D

The host family's cat liked me, she slept on my arms over one hour 8'D
They called cat by name "Dusty".

Day 22

Couple Young Farmers took us to tiny walk around a big garden in Loch Lomond. there was also a tiny castle in the garden, and I think that the views from the uppest windows to Loch Lomond would have been amazing!

The castle in the garden.
Views to Loch Lomond from the castle.

But my week in Loch Lomond didn't start well, because I got flu : (
And it wasn't nice to just lie in my bed and eat scottish medicines...

Scotland, days 18, 19 & 20

Day 18

On the morning we went to ride horse. I haven't never before ride a horse, so it was quite interesting. X'D But I didn't fall, and that's good!

Because the day was quite rainy, we went to help one Young Farmer to take her furnitures from her old apartment (she was moving away).

On the evening we decided to play Star Wars version of Monopoly.
The game was reaaalllyyy long, but I did have fun, and, the main point was that I won the game with over 7000 jedi money ;P

Day 19

My host took me to dairy farm, which is the most biggest dairy farm in Scotland. And it really looked like that it's the biggest one.

The cows were inside this kind of machine when we milked them.

Lots of cows on the field.

On the evening we went to eat in a chinese restaurant. I haven't never before ate chinese food, but it was quite good : )

Day 20

We went on a whisky tour to local distillery. I'm not a big fan of whisky, but the tour was nice!

On the afternoon we went to walk my host family's dogs on the beach.

Scotland, days 16 & 17

Day 16

On the morning we went to fix some old fences on the fields. Well, I was just holding the tools, but anyway.

After that we did have a "tour" in Campbeltown. We walked around Campbelltown, and I tasted Irn Bru - ice cream. Yummy!

On the evening we went to watch the Fast and Furious 6 -movie. I heard that the movie theathre is the oldest movie theathre in Scotland, probably also the oldest in whole Great Britain!

Day 17

Day 17 was a real "nature day"!

We went to sea tour! The boat took us to see some small islands near Campelltown, and also other lighthouse.

The lighthouse we saw on the sea tour.

There were lots of seals behind the lighthouse!!

We also saw an island (or a huge rock) full of sea birds!!

The weather was perfect for sea tour. I was so happy that the Young Farmers took us to that tour, I loved it! <3

On the evening we went see the foot prints of Columbus, and also an old graveyard near the sea.

The old graveyard.

We also clamped to quite big hill. Young Farmers told us that there was many many years ago a castle, but it was destroyed in a battle.

Quite perfect day I would say : )

Evening sun on the coast.
